About RJM

السلام عليكم
Peace be upon you,
We welcome you to Raza Jamia Masjid (RJM).
RJM opened on the 15th December 2017. Construction began back in July 2015 and took two years and five months to complete. The overall cost of the facilities was £8.5M approx. and has an area of around 42,000 sq ft.
Our mosque is named after Imām Aḥmed Raza Khan (ra) a scholar and reformer of the 20th century from the Indo-Pak subcontinent. The word Jamia signifies a large public mosque where all the Muslims can congregate for Friday prayers.
The origins of this mosque can be traced back to 1969, when the first mosque of Accrington was established on Blackburn Road.
Apart from daily prayers, we also have a community centre, which is aimed at promoting peace and community cohesion.
RJM is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week to allow Muslims to pray as and when needed.
RJM was funded purely by donations from the public. As you can imagine, running RJM requires much care and maintenance. If you would like to support and help RJM, then please donate by clicking on the donation button.
